Chinese Mythology

That relates to Dragonball,

Many of the characters in the Dragonball universe relate to a character in real Chinese Mythology. Below are a few of the relations:

• Son Goku: The Monkey King of The Journey to the West and other Asian legends.
• Nyoi-bo (Goku's power-pole): The Monkey King's weapon: the length of iron that pounded the Milky Way flat.
• Gyu-Mao: One of Goku's many opponents in The Journey to the West.
• Lord Emma: The King of the Underworld, who sits in judgement of all souls; this name also appears in Yu Yu Hakusho.

we have a date for the dbz movie people! on the 15 of Aug 2008 we have the dbz movie up on alomst every country, 

some bits on the plot i manged to get my hands on,

"Dragonball" is one of the most successful Japanese cultural exports of all time. The manga, created by Akira Toriyama and published by Tokyo's Jump Comics, was adapted into graphic novels, video games and a phenomenally successful television series that ran in Europe, Asia, Latin America and North America. "Dragonball's" popularity also generated more than $4 billion in merchandising sales. In North America, the property achieved the zenith of its popularity under the name "Dragonball Z."

The story follows an adult humanoid alien named Goku, who discovers that he was sent to Earth to blend in and destroy our population but instead elects to protect it from an oncoming alien onslaught bent on dominating the universe and controlling the mystical objects from which the film takes its name.

Chatwin,, has already begun training under the auspices of stunt performance company 87Eleven, which has executed and designed action pieces in pictures such as "The Matrix," "The Bourne Supremacy," "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" and "300." Marsters is playing the villainous Piccolo 

Production begins later this year. Other major roles are currently being cast.

hello all you dragonball z fans it's good to have the dragonball z section open for business, i have some news that the fanfiction centre will be open with in 2 days, we have stories ready and waiting to go up and i thought you may like this one so i copyed part of the story out and decided to post it here if you like it you will most likly like the whole thing when the fanfiction is opened in a few days, and ifyou would like to saend me some fanart or fanfiction send it to, dimonds_blade@hotmail.com, here is the story part,

his being has been alive since the beginning of time. He was 
trapped inside another dimension, until theday he would be free. Before he

was sealed away he sealed his nemesis in an object called the Dragoo sphere 

only to be open when 
the universe is in its darkest hour only by the chosen one. He is able to 

shape shifted 
into any person or creature. In his Saiyan form he is the last level of a

 Super Saiyan. 
Thou though to be impossiblein the past few fights the warriors have gone 

beyond the 
forth level of a super Saiyan. He has many names but in his realm he name 

is Reiko 
but on earth, people know him by the name of SATAN. Goku the earth’s greatest

 warrior 
must fight to save the universe one last time against the source of evil. Can 

Goku reach 
the final level of a Saiyan, find the chosen and kill Reiko on time.

as you may have heard through the grapevine dragonball z is being made into a multi-million doller movie, and i don't mean cartoon anime drawn movie the real deal this time it started filming on Friday December 14, 2007,  it is being filmed in Mexico City for seven days. After that, there will be a Christmas break and filming will resume on January 2, 2008 in Durango, where they will continue for nine more weeks.

 the plot line as we know at this time is not much, but we have some information,

• The city where Goku lives at is supposed to be futuristic. The cars are powered by solar cells and have plates that read "City of the future". There were around 20-30 cars of that kind in the set.

Chow Yun-Fat is the latest to join 20th Century Fox's live-action adaptation of "Dragonball." he is a martial arts superstar, Chow Yun Fat, will be playing Master Roshi. Chow Yun Fat is known for his roles in movies such as Hard Boiled, The Replacement Killers, and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
